Located in the Seacoast Region of New Hampshire. Experience today the small rural New England community of yesterday.
Incorporated in 1741, Epping was one of the last towns chartered during the term of Massachusetts Gov. Jonathan Belcher, who was succeeded by Gov. Benning Wentworth of the new independent province of New Hampshire. Some history books say the town was named after Epping Forest, a suburb of London.
