Join us at the Henry Mischler House Bed and Breakfast for a stay that is truly relaxing. In the winter you can curl up beside a cozy fire with a glass of wine and a good book. In the summer, lounge on the private back patio surrounded by plants, trees, and flowers. You may also enjoy listening to our water fountains as you sit in our beautiful private garden. In the evening, you can sit on the front porch and gaze down the lantern-illuminated street where the Abraham Lincoln Home stands and the Lincoln family once walked.

We always have coffee, tea, soda, or wine with cheese and crackers for our 3-5:00 p.m. check-in guests. Breakfast each morning is a wonderful display of coffee or tea, fresh fruit and juice, with either homemade casseroles and muffins, pancakes, or French toast served between 8-9:30 a.m.

Henry and Louise Suite - The Henry and Louise Suite, named after the former owners, has a scenic view of Abraham Lincoln's Springfield home. The bedroom features an oak, Louis XVI, full-size bed, featuring carved roses with a rocking chair and antique dresser. A 27" television with DVD player is also in the room. The adjoining sitting room has a sofa, mahogany desk, and 13" television. This suite has a private bathroom down the hall with an original clawfoot bathtub with shower and pedestal sink.

Phillip's Room - This is the master bedroom and is located on the first floor. The room is named after Henry's father, Phillip. The Phillip Mischler cottage was built in the 1840's and is adjacent to the Bed & Breakfast. The Mischler boys played with Willie and Tad Lincoln. Phillip's Room is furnished with an antique, oak queen-sized bed, a mahogany dresser, and a television. The room has a private bath with a shower within the room.

Bernard Stuve House - The Bernard Stuve House is adjacent to the Henry Mischler House. It was built in 1865 in the Italianate style and also overlooks the Lincoln Home National Historic Site. It has three bedrooms, each with a television and private bath. Upon waking, a full breakfast awaits you in the Mischler House formal dining room.
