Located 12 miles south of Athens, & 18 miles north of Madison, in northeast Georgia, off US Highway 441 & 129. Weekly rates also available. Facillities & Amenities: restrooms & laundry facilities. Full hook-up sites are shady & level with 30 or 50 amp electrical outlets. Lakeside pavillion equipped with smoker/grill & seating for up to 40 campers. Well-stocked lake that features farm raised channel catfish, & bass & bluegill. Bring fishing pole & frying pan. Campground permit is required; pay by the pounds caught. Beautiful & unique nature trail. Nearby: Closest campground to Athens & the University of Georgia. Open year round. Athens & the surrounding area offer many fine restaurants, historic sites, the State Botanical Gardens, white columned antebellum homes, shopping centers & nighttime entertainment.
