Thunder Valley Campground© is nestled in the heart of Thunder Valley USA. In the late 60's Bristol Motor Speedway was nick named Thunder Valley due to the beautiful valley it was built in and all the racing thunder that has been created at every race since. Thunder Valley Campground was created and built by Randy Moore the son of Carl Moore, one of the original founders of the Bristol Motor Speedway. We strive to be the areas premier campground. Specializing in all race events at BMS and other specialized events such as family reunions, concerts, etc.
TVC opens one week prior to most race events at BMS.

We will be open 24 hours a day. You can arrive at any time.

Full security will be on duty along with TVC personnel to show you to your campsite.

TVC has shower- house and restroom facilities open 24 hours a day.

Food, drinks and ice are also available. Other amenities include a water and waste dump stations and lots of fishing and hiking. TVC offers a free shuttle service to and from all race events at BMS.

The shuttle bus will run at selected times to BMS on race days.

The City of Bristol recently approved legislation expanding the hotel/motel tax to include campgrounds. The hotel/motel tax is a five percent (5%) tax on the gross cost of lodging fees. This is in addition to the sales tax of 9.25%
