Nestled in the heart of north central New Mexico lie the Jemez Mountains, a dormant volcano complex covering more than a 1000 square miles. Remnants of the volcano have formed one of the most unusual and beautiful geological areas in the world. Part of the Santa Fe National Forest known as the Jemez Recreation Area. The Jemez offers all types of activities.Miles of scenic trails and highways lead you through pristine wilderness with views around each bend. Valles Caldera National Preserve is just 15 minutes away. Wildlife includes one of the largest Elk populations in the world. Black Bear, Turkey, Bobcat, and Mountain lion are abundant but rarely seen. Miles of mountain streams and Fenton Lake offer fishing for German Brown trout and Rainbow trout. All kinds of Birds including Hummers, Raptors, Ravens, Stellar Jays, Evening Grosbeak, Wood Peckers, on and on. Located in the Beautiful Jemez Mountains of Northern New Mexico. Thank you for visiting our website. Trail's End RV Park is set amongst an Old Growth Ponderosa Pine forest. Each of the 10 Full hookup sites have a mountain and a meadow view, picnic table and fire ring.
The park is open Spring thru Fall weather permitting. AS OF 11/11 WE ARE STILL OPEN.
We are located in LaCueva nine miles north of Jemez Springs on NM 4 or 28 miles west of Los Alamos on NM 4. Take NM 4 to NM126 in LaCueva. The Park is 1 mile on the right. Gated Entrance is directly across the street from Baptist Church
