Green Acres Family Campground, located on open and wooded (58) acres, is an unusual family campground. Just approximately 100 miles east of Raleigh, 100 miles south of Norfolk and west of Nags Head and other East Carolina beaches it makes a conveinent central point of departure for many excursions! Many campers leave their RV's at Green Acres for side trips to the Outer Banks, only 100 miles. There are also numerous historical tours of colonial homes and towns in the area. The entire area of this part of North Carolina's Coastal Plains abounds in fish and wildlife, historical landmarks and innumerable farm enterprises.
