Just 8.5 miles from Ely, River Point Resort is located on a beautiful 4200-foot wilderness peninsula of land on Birch Lake and the South Kawishiwi River with luxury vacation home cabins offering the ultimate in comfort, privacy and exceptional lake views.
Our "Naturally Superior Location" is on the north and most secluded half of Birch Lake at the doorstep of the famous Boundary Waters Wilderness Canoe Area BWCA, with direct water access via the South Kawishiwi River.
Incredible wilderness surrounds River Point Resort, unlike other area lakes which are dotted with private cabins, outfitters, and resorts. Our "Naturally Superior" location is also steeped in history, as it is the site of a nationally significant archaeological find of the Laurel Indian culture in 1982, dated 500 B.C.

All thirteen housekeeping vacation home cabins and villas and our beautiful Wildwood lodge face south and are located along 4200 feet of premier wilderness shoreline.
Finished in knotty pine with beamed and vaulted ceiling, floor to ceiling stone fireplace, and comfortable furnishings, the Wildwood wilderness lodge houses a snack/beverage bar, relaxing T.V. area, video/book library, and our Wolf Den Gift Shop, brimming with souvenirs.
All vacation home cabins and villas are set back 30-100 feet from the lakefront and are 75-100 feet apart, with scenic lake views and wooded privacy. It's like having "your own place" at the lake.
Exceptional, upscale three bedroom luxury homes and one- and two-bedroom luxury villas have wood-burning fireplaces and knotty pine interiors. Other units have paneled interiors, except the log cabin, which is constructed from natural logs.
