We are a very special and unique Inn - You have your very own theme cottage for your vacation or relocation with different, delightful attractions to each cottage, a gas fireplace with an antique mantle, a tiny birdcage tucked in a corner, a secret panel in the antique mantelpiece, Antique chandeliers, restored or hand-painted antique furniture in the special style of your cottage, whirlpool baths with hand-laid tile, gingerbread trim on hand-painted kitchens. Each cottage has it's own attraction, and each has a special décor. The restored 'Old Village' of "flower-garden" cottages ranges from a teeny-tiny studio to 1 and 2 bedroom cottages each with a full kitchen. The newest cottages are a storey-and-a-half gingerbread dollhouse with a cathedral ceiling 25' high, hardwood floors, gas fireplace with antique and tile mantelpieces, full kitchen with hand-painted cupboards with gingerbread trim, big bay window overlooking the green; and each is decorated in a different Victorian Theme. Many of our relocation guests say they feel they've been on vacation, and all are glad to find that there is an alternative to rental of an apartment for their short-term or long-term stay.
Prince Albert Cottage - The true-love match of Queen Victoria! Queen Victoria wore mourning black to the end of her days after His early death. He was 'the handsomest man in England' and his likeness graces tobacco tins named in his honor! Prince Albert Cottage has royal blue damask draperies, with aqua and royal tapestry valances. Verdigris Victorian spiral staircase climbs to the loft with wedding-cake balusters. 2 huge brass chandeliers with over 200 crystals hang in the 25' cathedral ceiling. Gas fireplace with carved mahogany/gold leaf mantelpiece and Victorian Mirror graces a most masculine cottage with hardwood floors and blue oriental carpet with two rose-coloured Victorian upholstered slipper chairs. Black chinese lacquer screens have been restored and a princess canopy of Royal blue Damask graces a marvelous pewter-colour wrought-iron Queen-sized bed. Your home wouldn't be complete without your own phone with your own personal phone number, so we put one in each cottage. Cable TV, of course. Each cottage is 'winterized' and insulated for winter and Air-conditioned in summer. Each cottage has its own kitchen, with hand-cut gingerbread and hand-painted cupboards, and is furnished down to the teapot!
