Authentic Canal Boat Trips on the Historic Delaware Canal located in New Hope, Pennsylvania

The New Hope Canal Boat Company owns two vessels that are USCG Certified to hold 88 Passengers and 2 crew, giving us a total capacity of 176 people plus crew on board. However, we recommend that private parties limit their guests to 62, and depending on how you wish to make arrangements for entertainment, tables and/or food service, it can be less.

We will work with you to make maximum use of the space available.

Fees: Boat Rental: 1 Hour - $500.00 US Dollars Each Additional Hour: $100.00. Fees include the mule team, the services of the Helmsperson and the Mule Tender. Historic Interpreter/Musician $25.00 per hour. Tour Interpreter $15.00 per Hour Our Interpreters and Musicians discuss the history of the area, tell tales of the canal, plus the musicians play traditional American canal songs. The Canal Boat Co. can provide other types of music if you so desire. You may bring your own musician or group, subject to approval of the Canal Boat Co. for suitability. Please note that there is no electricity on board, paraffin lamps provide all lighting.

Food/Beverage Service - The Canal Boat Co. has made arrangements with The Centre Bridge Inn to provide a large selection including Brunch, Lunches, Hors d' oeuvres, Dinner and Desserts. Plus, we can provide all types of liquid libations included with your meal.
