The 1851 Inn on The Avenue features a breath-taking Rococo Revival parlor, soaring stained glass windows dating to the original construction, a romantic St. Charles Avenue balcony shaded by a massive live oak tree and charming use of historical architectural elements. A tropical garden courtyard filled with exotic flowers provides an elegant setting for complimentary breakfast dining. Hop aboard the St. Charles Street Car, which stops right in front of the house, for quick access to the French Quarter, Convention Center, Audubon Zoo, Tulane or Loyola University or take a rest on the front porch where over twenty-five Mardi Gras parades roll during Carnival season.
Our rooms are located on the second and third floor of our home. A complimentary self-serve continental breakfast buffet is included with breakfast dining available in the great parlor or in the tropical garden courtyard.
