It takes time to get this far back in the Nez Perce National forest but it is a pretty trip any time of the year. All green with tall forest trees and meadows in summer and lots of white snow all winter long. Take a hike into a lake and spend the afternoon fishing. You can drive to a couple of lakes if you have a something for driving on backcountry dirt and rocky roads and others take 1 to 8 mile hikes. Most have been stocked with trout back in the 1950s. Great areas for ATV riding trips.
