Cascading waterfalls, a meandering brook and a romantic garden gazebo grace an acre of gardens, pines and redwoods surrounding this secluded urban inn. Built in 1909 on the foundation of an 1870's tannery, a 1790's grist mill and a 2000 year old Indian fishing village, the Babbling Brook Inn is the oldest and largest Bed & Breakfast Inn of the Santa Cruz area. The inn is rated by AAA as a 3 Diamond establishment.

The 13 rooms are decorated in styles that represent the works of Old World artists and poets: Monet, Tennyson, Degas, Cezanne and Renoir.
Every room has a cozy featherbed, television-VCR and delightful views of the gardens and brook. Most rooms have gas fireplaces and one or two person whirlpool tubs. The Artist's Retreat has a spacious deck with a recessed hot tub overlooking the gardens and brook.
All rooms are totally non-smoking and are with private bath, telephone, television, cozy fireplace, private deck, outside entrance, some rooms have whirlpool bath tubs, the Artist's Retreat has a private hot tub on the deck.
