When we booked our room a few months ago it was under diff ownership, the new owners have only been there for a couple months, they are very rude and stand over you you like you are going to steal something, I saw a women come in the office and ask for a wash cloth and they wanted 5.00 for an extra one.
The cont. breakfast consist of an english muffin and the room it was served in was 90 degrees.
An arguement broke out 5 rooms down from us and 2 ladys were thrown out, the owners were screaming and yelling at them and then called the police and told them they better send 2 cars, when the police arrived he could see right off the only problem was the owner, he started harrasing and making rude comments to other guest, this was around noon, we decided to leave right them along with 7 or 8 other rooms guest, we had already paid for the night with a debit card (mistake) he he refused to give us a refund, the officer even asked him to refund other guest money so they could get out of there and he said no way.
The place was clean, pool was clean, rooms were well stocked with towels.
I now know why they only had a 10% occupancy rate

I have read reviews on many websites and they have been good except for the one I read under the new management. YES, we had people stay there in the past but this year was a terrible experience. For those who have been in the past and had a pleasant stay, please note that the new management is extremely bad. Our motorcycle group has an annual get together each year. We ride in from several different states and are all hard working honest caring people who have NEVER had anything but great relationships with the owners where we stay. Upon arriving, we were asked for our DL to make a copy. They told us MANY times, not just once, we were not to use the towels to dry our bikes. We know this!!! We are respectful people!!! They followed us around even in the evening as we were trying to relax by the pool or the picnic area. One couple asked for an additional washcloth for their child and was scolded that the room was set up for two people and there would be an additional charge to their credit card. There were many other unpleasant encounters which were uncalled for. We are not all night party people either. We were in our rooms and asleep by 10 or 10:30. We eventually wound up moving to another motel after the managers accused one of our people of smoking in the room. They told her and the friend she was with to leave and even called the cops to be sure she left the premises. She has stayed there before when the previous owners had it and loved the stay!! We all wound up moving to another place because we knew we could not enjoy the remainder at this place and the owner would NOT refund our money for the second night which we did not stay. This treatment was rude and VERY uncalled for. We are just hard working professional folks who look forward to a long relaxing weekend with friends each year and this was the most ridiculous treatment I have ever experienced!!! This new management team needs to develop some people skills before expecting to be successful in a business that demands respect for the consumer.
