Glorified filthy trailer park on a dangerous, unswimmable/unfishable part of the river, ungrounded electrical ( thankfully only brushed the electrical box and got a jolt!), sewage smell, traffic all hours, noisy (VERY noisy) I will never go back, even if it were free! NOT a place for those who like nature, have to drive to everything, no cancellations even with high heat warnings and calling days in advance!
One of, if not THE worst "camping" experiences I've ever had (we had to constantly go into town to cool off and get away from the horrendous dust/dirt from people driving by, as well as the sewage smell from the malfunctioning dump and clogged bathrooms (and vomit) that stayed that way for 3 DAYS! Stereo wars were ridiculous (who brings more than a guitar or harmonica with them to camp anyhow???) Thankfully a nice neighbor has some Enya that helped it be more tolerable. Flies and other bugs from overflowing trash were ridiculous (They need more trash bins there AND more people to use them!)
It seemed people were living there in trailers as well. I think whoever owns this place needs to decide if this is going to be a trailer park or camp ground - NOT both!
This has got to be one of the, if not THE filthiest campgrounds I've ever seen. Makes me want to go back to backpacking in the wilderness, and after this experience, I may just do that, or take a pack mule train somewhere else.
Our saving grace was getting away for a day in far higher altitude a LONG drive from this place, and the teens we had with us didn't even want to go back to the campground, nor did the adults.
