49er RV Ranch, Columbia, California
Known as the oldest campground in the West, this Ranch has been providing travelers "Old Ranch Hospitality" since 1852! Known back then as the Columbia Springs Ranch, newly arrived wagon trains would circle up to prospect the rich gold fields of Columbia. Now travelers can prospect the rich living heritage of California's Gold Rush as kept alive in Columbia State Historic Park. Come visit us - enjoy that same old-fashioned friendliness!
Today, this ranch offers modern RVers a comfortable haven complete with full service RV sites providing: Cable TV, Water, Electric, & Sewage hookups. A Modem connection is provided in the camp store.
The 49'er RV Park is proud to be preserving the rich heritage of the original Columbia Springs Ranch! Be sure to stop by our 1850's Water Wheel where you'll also be able to see various artifacts and the old Gold Mine entrance!
While you're here, try your luck and see if you can't pay for your vacation. The 49'er RV Ranch has a resident "prospector" who is available for gold panning demonstrations and lessons.
Look for our entrance sign just 1/2 mile North of Columbia State Historic Park on Italian Bar Road. (The extended main street of downtown Columbia.)
Be sure to check out the "Events" sections on our home page to see the special activities scheduled in our area. You'll be delighted to discover a wide variety of things to do, from attending a theatre production to holiday extravaganzas. We look forward to your visit!
