Captain Simon's B & B, Clayton, New York

Spend your days exploring the enchanting village of Clayton and the famous 1000 Islands area attractions, then relax and unwind amid our Victorian comforts. This 1870s home was formerly owned by the famous boat builder, Captain Simon G. Johnston, is featured on the Clayton Historical Walking Tour, and is located 1/2 block from the St. Lawrence River.

Today the five bedroom home is owned by Bonnie Bouchard and is operated as a year-round Bed and Breakfast, hosting guests from all over the world. Hospitality is bred into the Bouchard family, as half a century ago Bonnie's grandmother, widow Maud Bouchard rented rooms from her home just 2 doors down the street. The Bouchard House, featuring three riverview apartments is also available for weekly, monthly, or seasonal rental. In Gramma's day guests ate out and shared a bath. Today at Captain Simon's Bed and Breakfast guests enjoy a gourmet breakfast served on Gramma's china, silver and crystal. You'll enjoy a smoke-free environment with handicapped access, including an elevator. For your added comfort, special dietary needs are gladly accommodated. And Bonnie is also pleased to help with your vacation arrangements to book guided fishing trips, restaurant reservations, bout tours, golfing tee-times, etc.
