Follow Signs to Route 21 south (McCarter Highway) and turn right onto Route 21. Follow Route 21 to Center Street and turn right, the Best Western Robert Treat Hotel is on the left side. ·From: Garden State Parkway. Take Exit 142 (Route 78) east until it splits near Newark Airport. Stay right and follow Routes 1 & 9 north to Route 21 north (McCarter Highway). Travel across the viaduct into downtown Newark.
