This historic 1887 Federal style home with Victorian highlights, along with the Carriage House, was the Mott homestead, one of the original farms in Vernon. The B&B features eight uniquely decorated Guest Rooms furnished with antiques. You will experience present day comforts and conveniences such as private baths, cable TV, telephones and complimentary high-speed wireless Internet service in each room. Treat yourself to one of the romantic suites in the Carriage House with gas fireplaces and Jacuzzi tubs. One suite is ADA equipped. A bountiful country breakfast is included with each night's lodging and is served in our dining room where you can socialize with fellow guests. Unwind on our Covered Porch with its seasonal view of Vernon Valley and the Pochuck Mountain. Relax and enjoy a cup of afternoon tea on wicker furniture or rocking chairs with a great book. In the winter you can warm up in the living room with a selection from the bookshelves or our assortment of games.
A full hot breakfast is served in our dining room. Breakfasts start with your choice of juice, fresh fruit du Jour, an assortment of home baked muffins, scones or breads. Chef’s choice of favorite entrees among others include Blueberry & Cream Cheese Bread Pudding, Ham and Cheese Strata, Cinnamon Apple Pancakes, Three Cheese Croissants or Upside Down French Toast which is the absolute favorite and our most requested recipe.
Each of the eight Guest Rooms in our Vernon, New Jersey Bed & Breakfast are each named after wild mountain flowers and are individually decorated with complementary décor and accented with antiques. All of our accommodations feature a variety of amenities such as private bathrooms with showers, digital cable television, telephones with data ports, high speed DSL and Wireless Internet service and hairdryers. Our guests enjoy plush Egyptian cotton towels imported from England and rave about our Kingsdown extra thick mattresses. The Inn is centrally air-conditioned.
