Attean Lake Lodge, Jackman, Maine
With an atmosphere that's comfortable and down-to-earth, our expansive log-constructed lodge is a favorite gathering place for everyone.
Relax in front of a roaring fire with a good book from our library, or play cards or board games with new friends. Or sit at the big double desk and write letters or postcards while your children enjoy our new playroom. The large wrap-around porch and deck offers additional areas for chatting and re-newing old acquaintences. Many of our returning guests have developed lasting friendships here, which they reaffirm year after year.
For your convenience, the office in the lodge offers fishing tackle, licenses, t-shirts and other souvenir items for purchase and provides guest use of a private telephone room that's accessible 24 hours a day.

Founded in 1900 by Ruel Holden, Attean is today still owned and operated by the same family heirs, it is one of the last remaining true family lodges in the Northeast. The Lodge is located on an Island in the middle of Attean Lake, itself recognized by the State of Maine as having some of the highest natural scenic resources as well as possessing many outstanding sand beaches.
Though nestled in a pristine wilderness setting, Attean is renowned for its service and comfort. It is the ultimate vacation spot, ideal for families who seek the simple pleasure of just doing things together, yet being alone in the outdoors.
Attean is the ideal location for those who want to "get away from it all." We are the only establishment on the lake. The rest is unspoiled wilderness.
