The Thames Street Guest House is an Italianate Victorian home built in 1869 and designed by renowned architect George Champlin Mason. We are located steps from Newport’s downtown and waterfront/harbor areas and just a block away from the Newport County Convention and Visitors Bureau, which provides extensive information on area attractions, restaurants and shopping as well as a hub for bus, trolley & taxi transportation. Newport’s famous scenic Ocean Drive, Bellevue Avenue with its famed historic mansions, and several museums, art galleries and our beautiful beaches are less than a 10 minute drive.

Our Victorian style rooms offer king-size beds, private modern bathrooms, air conditioning and cable TV. Off street parking is also included, and we have a large yard with patio area available. Continental breakfast is set out buffet style from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for your convenience. Coffee, tea, juice, hot and cold cereals and a variety of fresh fruit are available and the smell of our freshly baked muffins will entice you to our bright, cheery kitchen. You can dine in the adjacent dining room or outdoors in the patio or porch areas.
We also have a separate one-bedroom apartment with a queen size bed, full kitchen and bath, large living room with queen size sofa bed, and a private entrance which is available on a monthly or seasonal basis.
