Haddie Pierce House, North Kingstown, Rhode Island

In 1906, Haddie and Christopher Pierce built their American Foursquare clapboard home, complete with widow's walk, on a busy street corner in the village of Wickford. The town had been enjoying a newfound reputation as a summer resort thanks to the Seaview Railroad and steamships that sailed into Wickford Harbor. The train and ships have passed into history, but the Haddie Pierce House remains in its excellent location close to all that Wickford offers.
