The Inn at Playa del Rey, a New England style gray and white beach house, is located just three blocks from the Pacific and five minutes from Los Angeles International Airport in the village of Playa del Rey. This ideal location makes the Inn the only airport area hotel walking distance to the beach. Playa del Rey means "Beach of the King"; and today our beach remains one of the most majestic stretches of sand anywhere in Los Angeles.
When you are ready to rejoin the pulse of the city, a great variety of dining experiences await on our own street or a short drive to Marina del Rey, Venice, Manhattan Beach or Santa Monica. Shopping and entertainment are within ten minutes of the Inn.
The Inn was built in 1995 in response to the popularity of our other Inn, the Channel Road Inn, and in response to the concept that travelers enjoy a more intimate hotel experience, a unique setting, and smart comfortable rooms. Drawing on his childhood memories of Cape Cod, our architect created a light-filled interior designed to bring a sense of the natural marshes and salt air into its refreshing spaces.
