The Babcock House is a bed and breakfast inn and restaurant located in historic Appomattox, Virginia, minutes from the

We offer gracious hospitality and elegant dining in a friendly and informal atmosphere. We are less than three miles from the Appomattox Courthouse National Historic Park where General Robert E. Lee surrendered the Army of Northern Virginia to General Grant. The park is the original site of the village of Appomattox and all of the buildings have been restored to the 1865 surrender date.
Our turn of the century inn is just a few blocks from the county visitor’s center and is at the center of the 19th Century Homes Walking Tour. If you like history, you’ll love Appomattox!
