Edith Palmer's Country Inn was established in a Victorian home built in 1863. Originally, the home and a rock building to the rear were used as a cider factory. Edith Palmer, a renowned cook and innkeeper, started the Inn after she bought the property in 1948.
In the year 2000, current owners Pat and Leisa Findley began reconstructing and rejuvenating the Inn. Reopening in June of 2003, the Inn along with the rock room which is now, appropriately, the Cider Factory Restaurant are joined by the two adjacent Victorian Houses to complete the property. A fourth building is currently being renovated and when finished, will also be included as part of the Inn.
Guest Houses - Storey County collects a 10% Room Tax. Smoking is allowed in the gardens only. Sorry, we cannot accomodate pets. Check-in time is 4 to 6 pm and check-out time is at 12 noon.
Edith Palmer House - There are four guest rooms in this building which was built in 1863 along with the Cider Factory, a rock building to the rear of the house. The office, the parlor, and the breakfast room are also located in this house.
Storey House - Built in the 1870's, this building has a family suite upstairs in the front for your stay.
Silver Street House - Built at the "Turn of the Century", this building completes the property with an additional four guest rooms. The rooms are named for the four Irish miners who became known as the Sliver Kings of the Comstock.
