Bed & Breakfast At Walnut Hill, Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

Nestled in Kennett Square's countryside, close to Longwood Gardens and the Winterthur Country Estate, is the "gem of a bed & breakfast" - Walnut Hill. Our crooked country road is popular with joggers, walkers and bikers. It beckons the photographer and those who appreciate the beauty of nature. We offer a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of the work-a-day world, yet provide all of the modern amenities. Our circa 1840 antique furnished mill house is on land that was originally granted by William Penn to his daughter Letitia in 1701. The mill was built in the meadow in front of (what is now) Walnut Hill about 1760, and during the Revolutionary War the Queen's American Rangers (a Loyalist unit) camped on the hillside opposite the bed and breakfast site while en route to the Battle of Brandywine.

A full, gourmet country breakfast is served on antique china and pewter before a bay window in the keeping room.
