Country Comforts, Manheim, Pennsylvania

Greetings from the Nissleys of Jonde Lane Farm! We have been welcoming guests into our home since 1982 and we invite YOU to enjoy the "Country Comforts " of our farm and home! We are a Mennonite couple with 6 children and 12 grandchildren. Our farm has been in the Nissley family since it was built in 1859. We have a variety animals for you to see and enjoy-even help care for , if you want a hands on experience. We have a sheep named "Sugar", a goat named "Brownie", and a miniature horse we call "Peanut". Our dog answers to the name of "Ebony" (guess what color she is??), and our snow white bunny is named "BonBon". Then we also have Holstein heifers, and chickens too numerous to name! Your children (and children-at-heart) will enjoy the cats and kittens, as well as our play area on our spacious lawn. Our porch swing and rockers are waiting for you to come and "sit a spell" and relax! Our farm is well off the road which contributes to an abundance of peace and quiet. And the sunrise and sunset from our perspective is spectacular!

Our guests are invited to join us every morning for a hot farm breakfast at 8:15, around our large farm kitchen table. Sunday mornings a continental breakfast, with home baked goodies, is served at your convenience. There is a standing invitation for all our guest to join us for worship on Sunday morning in our Mennonite church. There are picnic facilities and a creek on our farm, as well as a covered bridge just down the road. The roads near our farm, and on a near-by off-road linear park are great for walking or biking. And if you want to sight-see in our beautiful Lancaster County, we will be glad to direct you to places of your interest.

Hen House - Your grandmother would recognize the chicken memorabilia used to decorate this room. Spacious first floor accommodations. Sleeps 5. One queen, a set of bunks, and a single sofa bed. Vintage design private bath with hydro-thermo massage tub. Microwave. Refrigerator. Coffee maker. Private entrance to the back porch.
Holstein Haven - Cheery accommodations for up to four in this country blue and white room with accents by our beloved black + white cows. One queen and bunks. Semi-private bath.
Pigs Palace - Our pink residents in this room have graduated from the pigsty to the palace! Decorated in country Victorian dusty rose, this room sleeps 3 in one queen and one single. Family wedding portraits from four generations, adorn the walls. Semi-private bath.
Rabbits Rest - Peaceful, serene, and quiet, just like a bunny, is this room in peach and green. One queen bed. Semi-private bath.
The Loft - Cozy accommodations on the third floor with a birds-eye view of the farm. Queen bed with double futon. Refrigerator, microwave. Decorated with an outdoor theme. Semi-private bath.
