Classic Rosewood Inn and Spa is a historic landmark 1880 Queen Anne nestled in a historic district just four blocks from Downtown Hastings, Minnesota, and offers distinctive accommodations with a relaxed elegance.

Historic Hastings, with its small town warmth coupled with an abundance of natural waterways (three rivers and two lakes), makes the Inn and town seem like a far away oasis. Yet Hastings is only 30 minutes from St. Paul, Minneapolis, the International Airport and the Mall of America. Hastings is a spectacular spot to visit anytime of year. Stroll, bike, rollerblade or cross country ski along riverside and lakeside pathways.

The magic at Classic Rosewood extends to the food with primarily local ingredients and organics. Guests often are surprised that a town this size would have such abundant local farm markets and an active co-op. Hastings is also surrounded by successful farms with local berries, apples, and even vineyards.

Famous for serving breakfast to guests' schedule and choice of private table or room service, the innkeepers also offer full dinner options and a "help yourself" pantry. Here there is no limit to homemade cookies or ice cream.

Many guests over the years come back to Classic Rosewood just to hibernate. Imagine the offer of in-suite and on site spa service, unlimited fireside tub time (seven of the eight rooms have double whirlpool and wood burning fireplace) and the famous never empty cookie jar.

Room rate includes free access to the back porch pantry. Help yourself to juices, hot beverages, cookie jar and ice cream. Also included is a full breakfast served to guest's requested time and place, always at private tables. No extra charge for room service and it is the same breakfast served in the dining rooms.

Innkeepers gladly accommodate special diet requirements, allergies, vegetarians, vegans with advanced notice. We take great pride in using locally grown products, and use organic products whenever possible. Our coffee (European Roasterie) is fresh roasted in Minnesota weekly and is fair trade organic. As small as we are, we are very proud of our Green Policy and are happy to share it with guests.

Evening in house dining is optional and requires a minimum of 24 hour notice. Accessories for enjoying alcoholic spirits are provided, including glasses, corkscrews, ice and ice buckets. We have chosen to not have a liquor license; however guests may bring their own if so inclined. A visit to our local vineyard and winery — the Alexis Bailly — is a must seasonally May through November.
