Located in the historic district of Cambridge, Maryland, this 1847 sea captain's manor is a wonderful getaway for the urbanite and a welcome, luxurious retreat for the business traveler.

The six large guest rooms, each with a private bath, are uniquely decorated with period furnishings and fine linens. After a restful night’s sleep, a delicious full breakfast overlooking the garden and lily ponds provides a great way to begin the day.

This Queen Anne style inn also features a comfortable sitting parlor, cozy library, large dining room, and several porches, with water views of the Choptank River and Cambridge Creek. Located off Long Wharf Marina, within walking distance to the downtown area where you can find specialty shops, restaurants, art galleries, and antiques. Romantic getaway and outdoor adventure packages are also available. Your stay can be filled with activity or just a quiet getaway.

The Cambridge House is also available for private parties, weddings, receptions, and other special events, such as afternoon tea, bridal showers and baby showers.

Most rooms have an area rug covering hardwood floors (many original) giving warmth to these spacious rooms (most are 18'x22') with 10' ceilings. Closets and armoires provide guests with comfortable, clean accommodations.

Queen Anne Room - Named for the architectural style of this sea captain's manor, the Queen Anne Room offers the ideal setting for a romantic escape in time. Queen size bed, hardwood floors, fireplace with candelabra, private bath with shower and access to a side porch are among the special touches that provide ambience to this first floor guest room.

Governor's Room - The Governors Room is conveniently located on the first level and includes a queen size bed, full bath, fireplace with candelabra, hardwood floors and private access to a side porch. View the great photographs of past presidents and other historical figures in this stately, sophisticated room!

Dorchester Room - Spacious room with king size bed and full bath. Classic, warm colors have been added to accentuate the new drapes and carpet. Fireplace with candelabra makes for a very romantic setting. Room can be opened up and converted into a suite with the "hidden room" that includes a queen size bed and half bath. Private access to the upper level porch which looks out to water.

Hunt Room - Comfortable corner room with queen size bed, fine linens, plush carpet and private bath with shower. Period details with classic color scheme makes this the perfect getaway room. Read by the fireplace or enjoy the view of historic High Street from the large windows.

Bay Room - Refreshing and tranquil room with queen size bed, fine linens, hardwood floors and private bath with shower. Great Chesapeake photos and tall ship model. You're ready for the short walk to Long Wharf Marina after spending some time in this Eastern Shore room!

Garden Room - Wonderful room full of bright colors. Queen size bed, hardwood floors, large private bath with claw foot tub, private access to upper level porch overlooking the gardens and Cambridge Creek. A cozy room with a shabby chic look and feel!
