The House on Main Street, Williamstown, Massachusetts
The charm of the Victorian era with the luxury of the late 20th century. This comfortable bed & breakfast is nestled in a lovely suburban tree lined setting, with the convenience of walking to the Clark Art Institute, Williams College, Williamstown Theatre Festival, and local Williamstown shopping and dining.
The historic House On Main Street was known as the Victorian Tourist & Antique House in a by-gone era. It was originally constructed in the mid 1700's and was moved to this site, near where Fort Hoosac previously stood, around 1830. The house was visited by such famous personalities as President Woodrow Wilson, who enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner here in 1914.
There were many additions and renovations before it was fully remodeled in 1986, taking great care to preserve the quality features of the house. Today there are six spacious, airy bedrooms for our guests to enjoy.
Museums, golf, outdoor activities and theatre nearby.
