This authentic New England inn was built in 1771, and for more than 200 years has earned a reputation for fine hospitality.

Its Colonial beginnings are reflected in its furnishings, and its special ambiance has been carefully preserved throughout extensive renovations to provide today's travelers with modern amenities to please every discriminating taste. Stenciled wallpapers and Oriental rugs in the public rooms complement the Inn's maple floors and unpretentious Federal architecture.

Nestled in the beautiful Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts, Lenox is a delightful trip through the countryside, no matter where you start. If you chose to come to our lovely town by bus, national bus lines make daily trips to Lenox from Boston, New York City, as well as other major cities in the northeast. The buses stop only one block from our door. If airplane is your chosen method of transportation, the closest airport, Albany County Airport, is only about an hour's drive northwest of Lenox, and the Bradley International Airport, which is located between Hartford and Springfield, is only about an hour and half away.

The Village Inn has 32 guest rooms, including a two-bedroom suite, in three price categories to fit every budget and taste: Superior, Standard, and Economy. Superior Rooms are roomy, offer a choice of king, twin or queen four-poster canopy bed, 25" TV/VCR and whirlpool tub. Some Superior Rooms include a fireplace. Standard Rooms are less roomy but offer the same bed selection, 25" TV/VCR in an armoire and most have a whirlpool tub. The Economy Rooms are small rooms and offer a choice of queen or full bed and have a 20" TV/VCR. Each room has a private bath, telephone with voice mail, and is individually furnished with country antiques and reproductions. All bathrooms have magnifying mirrors and hair dryer, and an individually controlled ceiling heater. All guest and rooms are smoke-free. All rooms are individually air conditioned in the summer. Room rates include use of our Video Lending Library with a selection of over 200 movies to enjoy in your own cozy room. Breakfast is included in the room rate: a full breakfast is served in the summer and fall and on all weekends; a continental breakfast is served mid-week in winter and spring.
