Sitting proudly on the beautiful Town Green, The Inn on the Green is one of Middlebury's designated Historic Landmark buildings and has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places. Built in 1803 in the solid Federal style, the Inn has been lovingly renovated to reflect the graceful style and romance of that bygone era. Innkeepers Micki and Steve Paddock invite you to experience the comfort and beauty of The Inn on the Green.
From the morning's delicious continental breakfast-in-bed to our nightly turndown service, we show we care about your comfort and enjoyment. Just being old, historic and beautiful isn't enough to meet our standards. Character equals comfort and peace of mind at The Inn on the Green. Your comfort is assured in a gracefully decorated smoke-free room offering a queen-sized bed, private bath, cable television, telephone, and individually controlled heat and air-conditioning. Two spacious suites are available to accommodate families and larger groups. The rooms in the handsome, reproduction Carriage House echo the charm of the main house while the ground floor of this new structure provides two handicapped accessible rooms. In the Carriage House, as well as in the grand old 1803 structure, you'll enjoy the amenities of the present and the ambiance of the past.
We are located in the heart of Middlebury, Vermont, approximately 8 hours by car from New York City and 6 hours from Boston. If you're driving from out of state, please see these directions. Vermont's major airport is Burlington International, which hosts several major carriers, and is less than an hour from Middlebury. Another airport option is Manchester, New Hampshire, only about 3 hours from Middlebury.
