Located in the foothills of western Maine, we are the perfect location for first-time visitors who want to explore the Great State of Maine or seasoned "Maine-iacs" who want to divide their time between the coast and the mountains.

Whether your interest is winter-time skiing or snowshoeing, summer-time hiking, canoeing, kayaking or swimming, gem and mineral collecting or just relaxing, A Friend's Place is the perfect base. Sunday River, Mt. Abram and Lost Valley ski areas are all close by as is the White Mountain National Forest.

There are several lakes and ponds nearby and the Little Androscoggin River is only a couple hundred yards from our door.
