The Red House Bed and Bath, Little Deer Isle, Maine

At The Red House Bed and Bath, we have been welcoming travelers to the coast of Maine — Penobscot Bay and Deer Isle — since 1995.

Following a devastating fire in 2001, we built a brand-new Red House. We have made a special home, a pleasant, comfortable and serene haven. We invite you to share the low-key, relaxed atmosphere of our bed and bath.

Our big deck overlooks ledges and gardens, looking down toward the water. It is a great spot for watching birds, enjoying the sun, a good book and a glass of wine. At night, stars blaze by the millions. The meteors in the Perseid Showers are predicted to be especially dramatic this summer, starting mid-July and peaking on August 12. Occasionally we see the aurora borealis toward the end of the summer.
