Welcome to Bass Cove Farm B&B. Sorrento, one of Maine's best-kept secrets, occupies a small peninsula 3 miles long and 2 miles wide. It is home to about 200 year-round residents and an active summer colony. The influence of the sea is unmistakable: the smell of sea air, the seabreeze refreshing us on a warm summer day. Come up the path, under the vine-covered arbor and through the flower garden, and enter our home for a special Downeast Maine visit.

Sorrento's harbor, shared by fishing boats and pleasure craft, is 2 miles away. Explore its shore on foot or by canoe or kayak.
The three sections of Acadia National Park offer four-season recreation: nearby Schoodic Point, wild and undeveloped, with biking and hiking trails and spectacular sunsets; the main section (near Bar Harbor) with opportunities for the novice to the most advanced explorer; Isle au Haute(via mailboat), remote island culture. Visit diverse ecosystems: salt marshes, rocky coast, mountains, rivers and ponds


In our 1840s farmhouse we serve a full breakfast that has been described as ..."memorable" & "worth getting out of that
very comfortable bed to enjoy."

Two of our three bedrooms have a view, through the trees, of Bass Cove, which can also be seen from the breakfast room. There are quilts on the beds and rag or hooked rugs on the floors; needlework and pottery decorate the rooms. Two first-floor rooms have queen-sized beds (shared or private bath), and the second-floor suite has double and twin beds, a living room, a private bath and a kitchen. We are a smoke-free home. Our pets (2) prefer that you arrange a separate vacation for your pets but we will consider requests for lodging on an individual basis. And we all enjoy the company of well-supervised children.
