Mrs. B's Historic Lanesboro Inn & Restaurant, Lanesboro, Minnesota

Mrs. B's Historic Inn, the cornerstone of Lanesboro, was built in 1872 and is on the National Historic Register. The beautiful limestone building became the first inn to open in Lanesboro in 1983. On July 1, 2005, we had the wonderful good fortune to purchase Mrs. B's Inn. We are Owners/Innkeepers Terry and Ginger Neumann and we are delighted to share it with you. On the bank of the Root River, in one of Minnesota's most ancient and picturesque valleys. Restored to include modern conveniences, while keeping a comfortable and eclectic Victorian decor. In the yard between the inn and the twisting river, the conversations of birds, the sound of flowing water, and a lovely garden offer a peaceful place to relax. Looking from Mrs. B's windows outside, is a scene that could have been painted by Thomas Cole or Grandma Moses. Our decks await your enjoyment and a full creative country breakfast is served each morning. Mrs. B's Gift Certificates are always available.

The Lanesboro Settlement When you are well satisfied at Mrs. B's, set out to explore your surroundings. First Lanesboro itself (population 788). Main street is lined with store fronts from the 1870's. Yet this is an authentic town which conducts a healthy, everyday life midst its antique merchants, a winery, sausage makers, cafés, a charming museum, a great summer stock theatre, and refreshing variations to the stolid businesses which make up the backbone of any rural town. Witness the Lanesboro livestock auction where magnificent animals of the valley's beautiful farms are bought and sold. In the opposite direction, find Sylvan Park
tucked beneath the bluffs with trout ponds, tennis courts, spacious picnic areas, and an historic 1869 dam and waterfall. A self-guided walking tour will introduce you to a number of 19th century, Queen Ann-style houses and their histories. At the end of main street where it climbs into the hills, is the town's challenging 9-hole golf course.

All of our accommodations offer warmth and quiet comfort to welcome you. Each is uniquely decorated and appointed with period furnishings and a wide variety of
traditional and modern amenities. All rooms have private baths, and a rubber ducky in every tub/shower .. just for the fun of it. Some rooms have whirlpool tubs and
all rooms have gas or electric wood stoves. The inn is air conditioned during the summer season. Rooms have new plush Serta mattresses (Room 3 has the only 'King bed), electric wood stoves or fireplaces. All room rates are for two persons with full gourmet country breakfast but do not include local and state taxes.
