Our fine and historic bed and breakfast is located just two blocks from the business and shopping district of downtown Natchez, Mississippi. Pleasant Hill is an excellent example of a well designed and executed city residence of the 1830's. A stay in our beautifully appointed bedrooms includes private bath, TV, a tour of the home, complimentary refreshments in our Tropical Sunroom, and a delightful casual breakfast to start your morning. By the way, Pleasant Hill now offers DSL internet access! You won't find a better place for a business stay, vacation or weekend get-away than this beautiful Natchez bed and breakfast, Pleasant Hill.

Pleasant Hill was originally built by John Henderson, a prosperous merchant, publisher of the local newspaper, and a founder of Natchez' First Presbyterian Church. The original home was built on property that is now the location of another famous antebellum home, Magnolia Hall. That was 1835. Over a two-year period during the 1850's Pleasant Hill was moved one block south on log rollers by oxen teams, a feat that would seem futile by today's standards.

The ground floor, or garden floor houses four bedrooms, each with private bath, that open into a center hall/sitting area. There is also a glass enclosed, brick-floored sunroom with wet bar, TV and antique wicker furniture. It's a lovely, quiet place to relax, and the house itself is just a short walk away from antiques, shops and restaurants in the center of downtown Natchez.
