The Harlem Flophouse is a charming brownstone located on a safe, quiet street in New York City. The neighborhood is bordered by three parks. Morningside park to the west, which has an active waterfall. Marcus Garvy park to the east, where hip-hop was created, and Frederick Law Olmstead's famed Central Park to the south. A short ride on the A or D express trains will bring you directly to "mid-town" Manhattan and Times Square. The A will also take you to and from JFK international airport, The Port Authority and Penn Central.
Jazz - The Harlem Flop House is located in the center of New York City's hottest Jazz district. World famous clubs like The Cotton Club, The Lenox Lounge, Luci's, Perk's and Showmans are all within walking distance. If you are a Gospel fan, there are scores of Baptist Churches with world-class choirs that will welcome you with song and spirit.
The Corky Hale - A tribute to the famed Jazz harpist who lived in New York City during the late 50's. Here she became the accompanist for such stars as Tony Bennett and Barbra Streisand. The Harlem Flophouse has four large airy guest rooms. It was originally built as a single family home in the 1890s. Each bedroom has a sink with hot and cold running water. There are two full baths with antique claw foot tubs shared by all four rooms.
