Lightner Creek Inn, a Durango, Colorado Bed and Breakfast, is a beautiful 100 year old farm house nestled in a spectacular mountain valley and traversed by the bubbling Lightner Creek. To the north are the impressive San Juan Mountains that provide excellent skiing each winter and hiking rafting and mountain biking each summer. To the south and west are mesas in the open high desert with rock climbing, archeology and horseback riding.

Lightner Creek Inn and our Durango, Colorado accommodations feature a relaxed atmosphere and nine wonderfully appointed rooms. Our goal is to make each guest completely comfortable and "at home" during their Rocky Mountain getaway at our old-fashioned Country Inn. Sink into the sofa in the Living Room and watch a movie or take a nap in front of the fireplace. Grab a soft drink from the beverage fridge and challenge a friend to a heated game of checkers at the game table. Browse our ever-growing library of local CO favorites. If you have business or just want to check your email, the guest computer upstairs is always open.
If you’re interested in learning, use the binoculars in the Breakfast Room to check out that bird at the feeders. Or just sit by the fireplace. Like home, the kitchen is a great place just to hang out . . . Feel free! Or totally relax in our hot tub overlooking the creek. Extra towels are always available and guest robes are in each room. Some rooms offer private or shared patio areas. Kick back on a chair by the creek or lay your head in a chaise at the gazebo or sway yourself to sleep in the hammock. Pull up a chair and converse with other guests on the terrace overlooking the gardens, creek and pond. Play “Find the Hammock” and relax like never before.
