The Fairville Inn Bed and Breakfast is the most convenient lodging facility in the heart of the Brandywine Valley and is on the road between Longwood Gardens and Winterthur Museum, only minutes from the business district in Wilmington Delaware. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Inn was built in 1857 by Caleb Windle who later served as a bank director, school board director, and a Chester County Commissioner. The Inn has been home to members of many of southern Chester County's early families, including Mendenhall, Pyle, Trimble, Sharpless and others.

Surrounded by majestic homes and miles of back roads, the Inn has 15 individually-decorated rooms located in three buildings -- the Main House (the original 1857 house), the Carriage House, and the Springhouse. Throughout the Inn, fresh flowers, and elegant country décor create a warm and quiet atmosphere.

All guest rooms have a private bathroom, satellite TV, telephone, and individual heating and air conditioning controls. Many rooms have a canopied bed, private deck, and fireplaces, in season. The Fairville Inn has been featured in many publications including the New York Times, Southern Living magazine, and Philadelphia magazine.
