The Chalet Club is a unique blend of an all-inclusive, family oriented resort and small inn or B&B. Located at Lake Lure, North Carolina on the eastern slope of the Blue Ridge Mountains, The Chalet and seven surrounding guest cottages are nestled on the mountainside at an elevation of 1,500 feet and five hundred feet above the lake and valley floor. The guest rooms and cottages have modern amenities, antique or period furnishings, fireplaces and balconies with spectacular views of Hickory Nut Gorge and Chimney Rock. Hiking, tennis, swimming, fishing and boating are all onsite with a short drive to golf and horseback riding. Guests can also choose which meals they may wish to enjoy at the Chalet's dining room or terrace.
Since 1934, the Chalet has served as a haven for travelers from around the world. They have retreated here to escape life's pressures in our tranquil environment where no more than forty guests can totally relax or enjoy a wide array of recreational activities between our chef's delicious meals.

Accommodations are comprised of five rooms in the Main Building and seven guest cottages of varying size and architecture. The guest cottages are within walking distance of the Main Building, yet are set far enough away to create privacy. All of the buildings were constructed as private residences and retain a home-like ambience.
Since the meals are served at the Main Building, none of the cottages have functional kitchens, but they do have refrigerators, microwave ovens and coffee makers. There are porches with fabulous views and fireplaces at all of the cottages as well as the Chalet. We stock the woodpile at each house with firewood that is cut off of the Club's property and seasoned for a minimum of 18 months. All of the houses are centrally heated and air conditioned. Televisions are available in selected cottages. If you prefer to have - or not have a TV, please advise us when making your reservation. Our housekeeping staff maintain the accommodations on a daily basis.
