Mt. Philo State Park, Charlotte, Vermont

Mt. Philo State Park, Vermont’s first, overlooks the spectacular Champlain Valley and the Adirondack Mountains. A narrow steep road (not recommended for trailers) provides access to the top picnic area and enclosed picnic shelter which may be rented. The small wooded camping area on the mountainside has 7 tent sites and 3 lean-tos. Swimming and boating are available at nearby Button Bay and Kingsland Bay State Parks at no additional cost. Located about 1 mile off US Route 7 south of Charlotte village.
