George Clarke House B&B in Lexington, KY has been lovingly restored to its former 1890 Victorian grandeur. This home is centrally located in a quiet downtown residential historic district. It is an easy walk to theaters, art galleries, restaurants, shops, cultural and sporting events.
Pass through the front door of George Clarke House B&B and you are transported to a time and place you'll want to visit again and again. You're in the home of an upper class 1890 family, where you are graciously welcomed by your hostess. The rooms are cast in the amber glow of gaslights, highlighting the fine antique furnishings, elegant lamps and chandeliers, and magnificent period wall coverings.
You will find fresh flowers in your room. We will serve you a wonderful gourmet breakfast on fine linens with sterling silver, Old World crystal, and exquisite Wedgwood and Lenox china. The enticing gourmet menu includes orange zest crepes with Grand Marnier strawberries and fresh whipped cream, crème brûlée French toast, homemade muffins and breads, fresh fruit and yogurt cups. Jeeves the butler will be in service most weekends.
Each room has a private bath, TV, antique desk with phone and dataport, and many other amenities. From the draped portieres doorways to the exquisite period lighting, careful attention has been paid to every detail for your enjoyment and comfort.
