In 1928 James Nelson cashed in $10,000 of AT&T stock to build this home for his bride. This restored Greek Revival home is located in Hutchinson's Houston Whiteside Historical District.

The Painted Garden is ocated in the Houston Whiteside Historic District. This Greek Revival home has been lovingly restored by your hosts. It features a circular porch framed by stately columns inviting visitors inside. Guests will find immaculately clean rooms and very comfortable accommodations. You will enjoy the homey and casual atmosphere, as well as the genuinely friendly Mattas' who will go out of their way to make you feel "right at home." Within walking distance of historic Fox Theater and downtown antique shops. A short drive will take you to other Hutchinson attractions.

While visiting our Bed & Breakfast, guests will find immaculately clean rooms with very comfortable accommodations, including private baths, TVs and VCRs.

Blushing Rose is located on the second floor. It features a brass queen-size bed, pale mauve hurricane lamps, a comfortable rocking chair and it's own private deck.

Roses and Lace, located on the first floor, features an ornate white and brass king-size bed. Soothing smoky blue roses adorn the walls while white and blue hurricane lamps add to the romantic atmosphere.
