The property and buildings which comprise 29 E. MacArthur Street have a long and distinguished place in local history. Located in the middle of Sonoma, the former Burris-Good estate is comprised of beautiful gardens, majestic old trees, and historic architecture. The two-story Victorian house which dominates the property, was built in the 1850s and is reported to be one of the oldest Victorian homes in Sonoma.
MacArthur Place is set among seven acres of magnificent gardens filled with original sculpture. Flagstone walkways lead guests past hedgerows, fountains and benches to a sparkling swimming pool and whirlpool. The Garden Spa at MacArthur Place offers over 40 different massage, facial and body treatments utilizing the flowers, herbs and plants found in the garden.
Dining is a special experience at MacArthur Place. Located in the Inn's historic barn on the estate, Saddles is the wine country's premier steakhouse serving only USDA Prime beef, and has been named Sonoma's best new restaurant.
Each of the Inns 64 rooms and suites are individually designed with beautiful furnishings, down comforters, custom linens, and original artwork. Ten rooms are located in the property's original residence built in the 1850's. The Inn's 29 newest luxury suites offer fireplaces, king-sized beds, hydrotherapy tubs or rain showers, wet bars, flat-panel televisions, and DVD players with six-speaker surround sound.
