Designated one of Napa's Landmark houses, the Old World Inn was built in 1906 by E. J. Doughty, a master craftsman responsible for some of the town's most beautiful homes and churches. This house was special for Doughty: He built it as his private residenceĀ—a home for himself and his family. The entire home feels friendly and relaxed, a testament to Doughty's sensitivity and skill at crafting homes. Rooms are sunny and inviting, a perfect place to rest at the end of a long day. Featherbeds, fireplaces, individual private baths, and private 2-person spa tubs are just a few of the many features waiting for overnight guests.

As one of Napa's oldest Bed and Breakfasts, the Old World Inn is known for two things: Quality of food, and friendliness. Guests are treated to a gourmet's repast, from freshly-baked chocolate chip cookies on check-in, to a 5:30 wine and cheese social hour, to devastating chocolate desserts when they return back to the Inn in the evening. And each morning begins with the smell of freshly ground coffee (or teas) and a two-course hot gourmet breakfast.

Old World Inn has nine guest rooms - eight in the main house and one large suite in the cottage ... plus a two bedroom Vacation Rental. Each distinctive guest room has a private bathroom (many with clawfoot tubs and shower), most have fireplaces. Six rooms offer spa tubs.

Rates include overnight lodging, fresh chocolate chip cookies on check in, wine and hors doeuvres, an evening selection of decadent chocolate desserts, and in the morning, gourmet teas and custom-blended coffees with a hot gourmet breakfast. Also included are complete concierge services, complimentary wine tasting passes, and our signature like staying with friends warm and friendly atmosphere.
