Brasted House Bed & Breakfast, Chautauqua, New York
Brasted House Bed & Breakfast is located directly across the street from Chautauqua Institution in Chautauqua County, in New York's Southern Tier. The inn is an early Victorian farmhouse home built by the Hunt family in the 1860's.
We want our guests to feel that they have come home, maybe even home to grandma's. We have many lovely antiques and our homemade quilts and vintage linens give each room a different personality. We live here and are open year round with our two cats Anna and Picasso and look forward to welcoming you.
Breakfast is served in our bright and cheerful breakfast room featuring freshly ground and brewed coffee and a full gourmet breakfast featuring our fresh homemade Granola
We are happy to try and accommodate any dietary restrictions.
All our rooms feature original white pine floors, ceiling fans, hand-made quilts and coverlets, lace curtains, wide slat wood blinds and oriental-type rugs. All rooms and baths feature antique and vintage pillow cases and linen guest towels. All our linens and towels are line dried when possible and freshly ironed. All linens are intended for your use. Each room has it's own personality, furnished with antiques or period reproductions.
The inn has an elevator and a handicapped accessible room with a private handicapped accessible bath (ADA compliant) as well as a handicapped accessible powder room on the first floor.
The porch has a ramp bringing you from the parking area directly to the front door.
All rooms have private baths.
Two rooms have air conditioners available.
For your solitude and in keeping with our tranquil setting, there are no telephones or televisions in our guest rooms.
