Nestled in the heart of San Francisco, Circa 1870 is a throwback to the early days of the city and its heritage of style and architecture. Authentic art and furniture adorn the hallways and the rooms of this cozy, beautifully restored Victorian home built circa 1870. Clawfoot bathtubs and soft egyptian cotton sheets delicately accent the Victorian theme evident throughout the house. It is a wonderful experience to step into a historical timepiece that exemplifies a warm, rich elegance with a friendly, inviting environment. All five guestrooms are located on the second floor and are decorated in light colors adorned with roses and ivy garlands.

Circa 1870 is located in sunny Pacific Heights, one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the city, and is within minutes of many of the attractions of San Francisco. Fisherman's Wharf, Union Square, Chinatown and the Moscone Center are all within walking distance, or just a short bus or cable car ride away. Fillmore and Union Streets, home to world class restaurants, bars, and boutiques, are only a few blocks from us.

Our guests vary from business travelers to vacation seekers. Business travelers especially enjoy the unique feeling of home away from home. Guests gather in the social area to share stories from the day. All rooms are on the second level. Private phone lines and TVs are in every room. We can supply you with hairdryers, irons and boards, so pack light. All rooms have private bathrooms connecting to the rooms with the exception of one. Great strides have been taken to restore all the rooms into a warm environment, Luxurious pillows, thick, cozy comforters, and quality linens provide a comfortable elegance.

Romantic, Victorian bathrooms have been restored. All bedrooms have private attached bathrooms except the Family/Friends Room.
