Welcome to Locust Grove Ranch Bed & Breakfast in Mount Vernon, Ohio, a Straight Egyptian Arabian breeding farm standing Extremely Shai, the black son of Simeon Shai, a World Champion Stallion.

Locust Grove Ranch, built in 2000, has 75 rolling acres, complete with woods and a meandering creek and is home to Sheila, our Australian Shepherd, 50 Beef cattle, and our SE Arabian, Morgan, and Quarter Horses.

Convenient to Kenyon College and Mount Vernon Nazarene University, while golf, shopping, ski trails, and antiques are just minutes away.

The Victorian room has a queen size brass bed, private bath, ceiling fan, and phone. There's just enough lace on the windows and oak fireplace to accent the turn of the century antiques. The morning sun invites you to look out on the garden, orchard, and foal nursery pasture.

The Cabin Room displays a tall queen size bronze bed, rescued from a barn in Oklahoma. Early game boards decorate the sponge painted walls. Pull your rocking chair close to the radiant favorite #12 stove, now candle powered. The southern view shows the vegetable garden, our namesake grove of Locust trees, and the working corral beyond. Private bath, ceiling fan, and phone for your convenience.

The Shaker Room has a queen size Amish Oak sleigh bed with primitive quilts and pillows. Shaker pegs line the walls and trunks and collectables take you back to a simpler time. Rest your eyes at sunset on neatly fenced pastures and frisky horses at dusk. Ceiling fan, phone, and the largest bathroom in the house pamper you.

The French Country Suite boasts 1200 sq. ft. of living space. A queen size walnut bed and Eastlake dresser are complemented by an additional twin bed, and also a private bath. Softly colored in peach and sage, with lace curtains on the interior antique windows adding a touch of Old World elegance to the gentle dcor. The adjoining family room with wicker sofa and rocker has room to spread out. The furnished kitchenette with stove, refrigerator, and oak pedestal table makes this the perfect place for extended stays. Walkout patio doors open to the pool area and great southern view.
