When travelers in the 1800s returned from Italy, they brought home an affection for the country villas filled with sunlight and fresh air, aromatic food and flowers. The historic Nims/Wilcox house in the Village of Lexington is such a home -- reminiscent of the Italian country villas which inspired its architectural style. Restore yourself with our renowned breakfast and flowers from the gardens. Relax in the serene atmosphere by the fireplace. Walk to marina, beach, shops, concerts, antiques, and bike path. Visit the golf courses and orchards nearby. 4 rooms. Open all year.
Built by business man and State Senator, Willian Reuben Nims, and later occupied by Dr. George Wilcox, this stately home holds a special place in the history and memories of our village. As stewards of this legacy, we welcome you to Inn the Garden B&B. Our guest rooms feature queen beds, antiques, ceiling fans, three fireplaces, and private baths.
