Cape Henlopen State Park, Lewes, Delaware

With so many activities available in the region, visitors may choose to stay a few days at the family campground. Pine-covered dunes are the setting for over 150 spacious sites, most with a water hookup. Camping is available from March 1 through November 30. Organized youth groups may camp in a designated primitive area, or arrange to stay in one of the dormitory buildings near the bay shore.

Cape Henlopen's beaches attract thousands of visitors who enjoy ocean swimming and sunbathing. Two designated swimming beaches provide lifeguard patrols between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day. Umbrellas can be rented during the summer. The northern swimming area also features a modern bath house with showers, changing rooms, and a food concession.
